How to speed up Google Chrome

Are you a user of Google Chrome which is used like the first browser in the world? Sometimes it feels doesn’t fell so fast as once was when installing it for the first time, well you don’t have to be worried about  that because you  are not the only one have such kind of a problem with Chrome Browser. In such case there are many techniques that you can do, to improve the speed of your browser. Once you go through these steps you will witness how Google Chrome will work significantly faster.

Note: These tips work for both operating systems such as Mac and Windows and some Linux.


1: Update or renew Google Chrome

If you use Google Chrome a long time then maybe there's an update for the browser. To force Chrome to check for updates it is practical to go through this method.



2: Disable or remove the unnecessary “extensions"

"Extensions” may be disabled at settings menu from Chrome. The extensions there can be choose to be disable box or with clicking on the trash bin it will be delete it permanently. In the video you can see how it is done.


3: Disable unnecessary “plugins"

The plugins can be disabled via the address bar and you can disable any unwanted plugins, just type in the chrome address bar this: // plugins.


4: Install the extension for data saving or "Saver Extension Data"

If your problem occurs more with poor internet connection that slows Chrome in some way. Then you can add an Extension in improving that. One of them is to install the extension Google Data Saver. This kind of extension uses Google's servers to compress data and to optimize the website before it is delivered to your chrome.


5: The next type is smooth scrolling or listing

It is usually applied in this way, in the chrome address bar you type:  // flags and than Enable fast tab / windows close. This option speeds up Chrome allowing it to close Chrome separately from any JavaScript coding that can work together. Then click Re launch Now button at the bottom of the screen to apply this change.


Note this is an experimental stage and it’s not sure that works for all Chrome browsers, since this also depends on the computer performance itself.

6: Tab Discarding is also a feature that speeds Chrome.

Type in the chrome address bar: // flags and find and Enable Tab Discarding. This option speeds the browser by allowing Chrome tabs at the background to be derived from the use Chrome memory. Then click Re launch Now button at the bottom of the screen to apply the change.


Note that this is also in the experimental stage, so if you have problems always go to settings / advanced settings and click Reset All to Default.

7: Clear cache

If memory begins to get lower on your disk, then you can accelerate Chrome also by clearing the cache.
In the chrome address bar, type: // settings / clear Browser Data and from them you will be suggested to select only Cached copies of photos in Image and Files option. Alternatively, you can delete everything out there and start with a clean state Chrome.


8: Check for spyware and malwares

Windows users can use Google Software Removal Tool. It might be a good idea to analyze the system using also something like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. The Mac users can however use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, because it is nonsense that Mac computers cannot be infected by viruses or malware, and for sure that may have been true a decade ago, but this is not true anymore today.
